Into software

I started building software for a living more than eight years ago. I ended up on the backend: the part users never see, and the part that has to hold when real traffic shows up.

Senior engineering on large platforms

Today I work as a freelance backend engineer: Java, Spring Boot, APIs and software architecture, plus Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) when the platform runs on it.

I've delivered projects for Engie, Société Générale, Accor, BNP Paribas, Sephora and OpenClassrooms. Large codebases, many teams, real constraints: that's where I learned what makes a system last.

Why Coding With Armand

Along the way, I saw how much of this job is learned by accident: in a code review, during a production incident, from a senior who takes the time to explain. Coding With Armand is my way of passing that on deliberately, in the open.

Teaching and mentoring

I've mentored and evaluated more than 100 developers. My courses live on Coding With Armand School: hands-on, project-based, built around real code rather than slides.

Building my own products

Working on other people's systems isn't enough for me: I ship my own too. Chasify is live. It helps freelancers and small businesses follow up on unpaid invoices, and I built it end to end, from Spring Boot to Stripe.
